The brand AxolotlArtisan was founded in 2026 by Daniel J. De La Paz, a Mexican-American artist born in Dallas, TX. The name "AxolotlArtisan" emerged from Mr. De La Paz's love of the mighty axolotl, an aquatic salamander native to Mexico. The "artisanal" brand was born of Mr. De La Paz's desire to simplify contemporary expansionist clothing brands into a reduced, inefficient, art-first initiative.  All the pieces are designed and constructed locally using the utmost luxurious imported raw goods. As for the future of the brand, Mr. De La Paz hopes to share his love for the ancient Olmec tradition to all the corners of the world. Additionally, he wishes to uncover the lost/fading techniques of the native cultures of the New World and incorporate their spirit in his work.
